A donation of medical protective equipment was delivered to Podgorica today - 50,000 pieces of surgical masks, 2,000 liters of medical alcohol, 2,000 pieces of visors and 1,000 pieces of protective medical goggles - which the Republic of Croatia sent to Montenegro.

The Government of Montenegro, Ministry of the Interior and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) launched today a mobile phone app “Be Safe“ which enables victims of violence to reach help at just one click. A message with the phone number and geolocation is received by the National SOS Helpline for victims of domestic violence. Their activists will immediately contact the person who tapped the help button. Professional staff are well trained and educated for acting in emergency situations related to violence, while all the data are safe and confidential. Application is available for Android users and can be downloaded from Google Playstore, while for iOS users it will be available soon.

Three Montenegrin firefighting "Air Tractor" aircrafts extinguished a fire earlier today in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the Konjic area. The planes were dispatched after the Montenegrin Cabinet, without holding a session and based on the obtain consent of the majority of Cabinet members, passed the decision on responding positively to the request of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which requested international assistance in firefighting.

Podgorica, Montenegro (11 April, 2020) -- Three Montenegrin "Air Tractor" firefighting aircrafts extinguish fires today in the area of Konjic - Neretvica and Prozor – Rama in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina requested for international firefighting assistance from Montenegro to extinguish the open air fire, which hit this area yesterday.

Valuable medical equipment donated by Jack Ma and Petros Stathis arrived in Montenegro

A valuable donation of medical equipment was delivered today to Podgorica. The equipment was donated by Alibaba Group founder Jack Ma and his foundation, at the Government's request. Another donation was made by Greek businessman Petros Stathis. Minister of the Interior Mevludin Nuhodžić said at the airport that it is the duty of the Government of Montenegro to provide protective equipment for health professionals and for all those on the front line of the fight against the coronavirus.

Free flight and bottle of wine for 81 Serbian citizens, 92 Montenegrin citizens return home

Montenegro Airlines, Montenegrin national airline, transported 81 citizens of the Republic of Serbia from Podgorica Airport to Belgrade free of charge. The return flight brought back 92 citizens of Montenegro.
